Overview

Headaches are a common problem and are often resistant to traditional treatment. Standard medical treatment often overlooks how somatic dysfunctions in the body may be a primary source of the pain. This course will discuss some of the common sources of headache. The class will present how to perform a thorough evaluation of the potential roots of headaches and various methods to treat the somatic dysfunctions that could be playing a role. Emphasis will be placed on cranial and cervical joint dysfunctions, fascial restrictions extending into the head and neck from musculoskeletal and visceral structures lower in the body, and autonomic nervous system imbalance.
